4th Gothic and Lolita Market Report

March 27, 2021 (Saturday)
The 4th Gothic and Lolita Market was held at Harajuku Quest Hall.
The state of emergency was lifted a few days ago, just as the cherry blossoms were in full bloom.
Blessed with good weather, the highest temperature was 18 degrees, with gentle spring sunlight—a very nice day.

This time, due to infection control measures, the snap contest hosted by the Gothic Lolita Market was on hiatus.
However, thanks to the good weather, the magazine "Tulle" snap team took coordinate snaps on the street in front of the venue!
We look forward to seeing photos of the wonderful attendees.
Also, to ensure everyone can enjoy safely, we implemented a first-ever three-part admission restriction this time.
By mainly selling advance tickets and allowing as many same-day ticket holders as the number of people leaving, the number of visitors inside the venue was kept constant.
▲ The number of people waiting for same-day tickets and re-entry was published at reception and on the official Twitter.
Thanks to this system, customers were evenly present at all times like never before, making the venue lively throughout.
Clothes, accessories, fashion items, umbrellas, magazines...
The venue lined with all kinds of items and genres of works is truly like a dream...!
Interaction with creators and among visitors is the true charm of real events.
Now that opportunities to meet in person have decreased, seeing everyone happily talking,
Just looking at them really made me feel happy.
(After the event, if you search on Twitter for #GothLoliMarket )
You can see many beautiful photos of the participants, which is highly recommended for a happy feeling!
And...!
The consignment sales booth, making a long-awaited comeback since the 1st Gothic and Lolita Market!
With the cooperation of La Vie de Luxe, 80 brands exhibited.
Also, at La Vie de Luxe on the 4th floor of Kichijoji Parco,
Titled "A New Classical Interpretation of Gorgeous Rococo Decoration",
The Gothic and Lolita Market consignment booth will continue until April 16.
If you couldn’t take your time to look around this time or want to see more carefully, please do come.
This is already the 4th event since the first one was held.
The venue was about five times the size of the one we had used until now.
Due to infection control measures, we limited the number of exhibitors and attendees, but it still became a large-scale event with over 100 more brands exhibiting than before.

And with so many people attending, although it is said that the Lolita population is steadily decreasing, we were able to reaffirm that there are still this many, giving us hope for the future.
Such as online ticket sales and a three-part admission restriction,
There were many first-time attempts this time, and we caused some inconvenience to our customers.
However, we sincerely thank you for your cooperation, which allowed us to conclude without major confusion.
From now on, we will continue to strive to make this event a place where participants can enjoy their favorite brands and increase opportunities for interaction.
Next event is scheduled for a Saturday in late September!!
We look forward to the day we can meet everyone again.
