第6回 Gothic and Lolita Market 開催レポート

2022.04.06 10:32

On Sunday, April 3, 2022, the 6th Gothic and Lolita Market was held at WITH HARAJUKU HALL.
This event is one of the largest gatherings in the Kanto region, held twice a year in spring and autumn, where gothic and lolita brands come together in Harajuku.
The priority measures to prevent the spread were lifted, and the weather was becoming spring-like... but on the day, it was raining from the morning!
Colorful and gorgeous umbrellas decorated the front of the venue.
This time as well, to ensure everyone could enjoy safely, a three-part entry restriction system was implemented.
To keep the number of visitors inside the venue constant, tickets were mainly sold in advance, and the number of same-day tickets allowed was limited to the number of people who left the venue.

▲Queue for the first entry session
As the entry time started, visitors were sequentially checked for temperature and disinfected before entering!
The venue had a fully glass exterior, giving a sense of openness, so the glamorous scene of lolita attendees could be seen from outside.
▲Consignment sales booth
The area visible immediately upon entry is the consignment sales booth.

It is operated by Lavie de Luxe, a select shop located in Kichijoji Parco.

They take care of and sell works on behalf of distant or busy brands.

This time, 86 brands participated!
A wide variety of wonderful items from various genres are lined up.
Everyone’s shopping baskets quickly fill up before they realize it.

▲The works displayed at this booth are still available at Lavie de Luxe in Kichijoji Parco until May 5.
Beyond the consignment sales booth is the main event booth, the direct sales booth!

This is the booth where creators directly exhibit and sell their works to customers.

The sight of wonderful shops lined up excites the heart.

The charm of this booth is that you can see and shop for actual items, meet your favorite brands by chance, and also interact with creators and other visitors who share your interests.

From stories about the creation of works, coordination and order consultations, to hobby talks...

We often hear stories of exhibitors and visitors who became friends thanks to the Gothic and Lolita Market.

Next to the direct sales booth is the newly introduced torso booth!

An area lined with torsos tailored by each brand.

You can check details of the works and brand information via QR codes.

And then... further ahead is the popular coordination snap booth at the Gothic and Lolita Market!

Professional photographer Motonari Takayama captures the carefully coordinated outfits of attendees.

▲Snap shooting scene
This time, an amazing 105 participants!
We captured the highest number of coordinated outfits ever.

Since yesterday, we have been introducing two coordinations per day, so please take a look.

Thus, the fun-filled Gothic and Lolita Market successfully concluded this time as well.
Despite the bad weather, about 400 customers visited, and we are very grateful.

We apologize to those who wanted to participate in the coordination snap but could not be accepted due to the waiting line being full.
We will strengthen measures for the next time and make the event more enjoyable for everyone.
