2024.05.24 15:37

The 10th Gothic and Lolita Market was held at WITH HARAJUKU HALL from April 13 to 14, 2024!

Gothic and Lolita Market (commonly known as GosuLoli Market) is a direct sales and coordinate snap event featuring gothic and lolita brands from all genres.

Held twice a year in spring and autumn, over 200 gothic and lolita brands and more than 2,000 enthusiasts gather at the sacred place, Harajuku.

Direct sales booth

The main area of this event is the direct sales booth!

About 150 brands line up over two days.

Above all, the charm of this booth is that you can talk directly with the owners and creators of each brand.

This time, amazingly, the owner came from overseas to Japan specifically for Gothic and Lolita Market!

▼Baroque

Many people in Japan may know, but Baroque is a Lolita brand based in Korea, and the clothes used as the main image for this Gothic and Lolita Market announcement are also from Baroque.

Although they have exhibited at Gothic and Lolita Market several times, this was the first time the owner visited, making it a very valuable opportunity to speak directly this time.

This time marks the 10th GLM event. While many brands may be familiar to those who have visited several times, there were actually about 30 brands participating for the first time! We will introduce some highlights.

"Kimono Remake OBU"

This brand proposes "cute and easy-to-wear clothes unlike any before" by fusing two Japanese cultures, "kimono" and "Lolita," handcrafting unique Lolita clothes from kimono fabric.

The original dress made from silk fabric expresses the luxurious beauty of kimono while featuring a pleasant texture and a light, comfortable feel.

The beautiful sewing, which is fully conveyed even through photos, is also one of its charms.

Everyone, please come see and touch the works of Kimono Remake OBU for yourself♪

"Hat Shop Mare"

This brand creates unique hats based on a classical base with various themes and motifs. The design motifs include sweets, celestial bodies, etc... all very charming! The hats, which become the main feature of an outfit, are very lovely♪

"Ange"

A brand that creates classical and fairy-tale-like clothes and accessories.

They make classical clothes, bonnets, ribbon headbands, and more.

Ribbon headbands made from shantung and velvet are beautifully shaped and comfortable to wear. Many people welcome different colors, and they were very popular at GLM!

Consignment Sales Booth

At the consignment sales booth, GLM sells works on behalf of creators who live far away or are too busy to participate.

Many brands whose works are usually hard to get your hands on, everyone is very interested!

Now, let me introduce some brands making their debut this time.

"uf."

A brand that handmakes hats and accessories mainly focused on Gothic and Lolita styles.

The design, which adds new elements to an old-school atmosphere, is very lovely, and many people may know it from the ear-attached hats.

How about an item that makes you feel good about the reflection of yourself in the mirror, even on ordinary days?

"Ir:s n:gra"

Unique and original accessories as if enchanted by magic.

This brand creates accessories with a Gothic × Fantasy concept, including bat wings, cat motifs, and luxurious, ornate accessories.

All items were popular at GLM10, but the bat wing items were especially popular!

Also, after the closing of GLM10, items from brands exhibiting at the consignment sales booth were sold online.

Online, the charm is that you can enjoy shopping slowly while reading the description of each item!

We received many orders from both domestic and international customers, including those who couldn't come to the venue and those who decided to purchase later after hesitating on the day♪

Coord Snap Photo Booth

At the GLM Coord Snap photo booth, where many people look forward to coordinating their outfits for the shoot, 144 people participated over two days!

↓ Please take a look at the wonderful outfits of everyone who participated in the GLM Coord Snap this time!

It's impressive to see so many coordinated outfits all at once!

The photos showcasing everyone's unique personalities will be introduced one by one every day at 2 PM and 7 PM starting June 1st on the GLM Snap account on X (@GLMsnap01), so please check it out♪

Thank you to everyone who participated!

These videos convey the fun atmosphere of GLM, so whether you were able to attend the event or not, please be sure to watch them!

▼GLM Official Promotional Video

To commemorate the 10th GLM event, we had a professional video production company film it.

▼ Short video filmed by GLM staff

We captured customers' coordinates and the exhibitors' booths in vertical videos.

It was viewed 350,000 times on TikTok and received many reactions from both inside and outside Japan.

We sincerely thank the brands that exhibited at GLM10, the customers who came to the venue, those who enjoyed shopping online, and everyone who supported us.

With 2,000 customers attending this time, and a significant increase in participation from those in their teens and early twenties who have just started Lolita fashion, this event made me once again feel glad that we have held it up to the 10th time.

I feel the large number of friends who share the common hobby of "Lolita fashion," and even now, about a month after the event, my heart warms when I recall that day.

Also, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the congestion during certain times due to the large number of customers who came this time.

From next time onward, we will focus on creating a venue where customers can enjoy themselves comfortably.

Also, thank you always for your warm words of appreciation to the staff on the day. To respond to the kindness of everyone who attended, all the staff are sincerely looking forward to your next visit.
