11th Gothic and Lolita Market Event Report

The 11th Gothic and Lolita Market was held at WITH HARAJUKU HALL from October 5 to 6, 2024!
Gothic and Lolita Market (commonly known as GosLoli Market) is an exhibition and sales event & coordinate snap event where all genres of Gothic and Lolita gather.
Held twice a year in spring and autumn, over 200 gothic and lolita brands and more than 2,000 enthusiasts gather at the sacred place, Harajuku.
Perhaps due to the weak yen, there were many customers from outside Japan this time, and according to the questionnaire at ticket purchase, visitors came from various countries such as the United States, China, South Korea, Australia, Ireland, Finland, Singapore, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, etc.

Direct sales booth
The main area of this event is the direct sales booth!
About 150 brands line up over two days.
Above all, the charm of this booth is that you can talk directly with the owners and creators of each brand.
This time, there were about 30 new brands exhibiting for the first time, so we will pick some to introduce.
"Yorozuya Hitsuji and Yui Corset (萬屋ヒツジと結コルセット)"
A joint exhibition of "Yorozuya Hitsuji," who makes cute fashion accessories like headdresses and bonnets that match Lolita fashion, and "Yui Corset," who makes corsets using kimono obi.
Speaking of Yorozuya Hitsuji-sama, the "Heart Bonnet," a full bonnet with a heart-shaped design at the back of the head, is very popular! It comes in gingham check patterns and solid colors in various shades. Please check out this item that makes you cute all the way to the back ♡
Yui Corset-sama's corset designs, which make use of the delicate Japanese charm of kimono fabrics, are very lovely, and we want you to pay attention to the fit that beautifully shapes the waistline without becoming too tight!
"s'habiller (サビエ)"
"A wonderful piece to dress you up." This is a handmade brand creating fashion accessories with that sentiment.
The headdresses and mini hats with a gothic punk taste that evoke an ancient atmosphere are truly designs that pierce the heart! The easy-to-wear size is also a delightful point.
The passion of Serika-sama, who runs the brand, was also featured in NHK's program "Numa ni Hamatte Kiitemita," which focuses on the deep passions of teenagers obsessed with what they love, a program GLM recently cooperated with for coverage, in the Goth & Lolita episode!
"BloodyRose (ブラッディーローズ)"
A brand with gorgeous and large tricorn hats, bonnets, and beautiful headdresses.
Everyone has at least once in their life wanted to wear a big hat with a large ship on it, right...? That dream can come true at BloodyRose!!
They produce a wide range from glamorous designs to chic and lovely designs unified in black, making it a booth that was hard to take your eyes off.
They brought original works to the event, and their atelier shop also operates a select shop handling products inspired by a medieval worldview.
"ROSA BIANCA"
An apparel brand proposing a style with youthful innocence for adults. Besides clothing, they also create the design × functional clasp bags called "Stella bags."
At this GLM, they brought samples of Stella bags in various designs and their long-selling hoop panniers.
The hoop pannier from ROSA BIANCA, known to those in the know, is an item that combines a beautiful line with practicality! The three removable bones stay firmly in place at any length without fasteners, so you can adjust it to an A-line or bowl shape depending on your outfit or preference that day, which is very appealing.
Because the bones are softer than typical wire panniers, sitting down is easy and comfortable♪
Since there are rarely opportunities to try them on in person, if you're interested, please try them at future GLM events!
Consignment Sales Booth
At the consignment sales booth, GLM sells works on behalf of creators who live far away or are too busy to participate.
Many brands whose works are usually hard to get your hands on, everyone is very interested!
Also, most of the products handled at this booth were sold online at the POPUP for two weeks after the event ended.
Since the online POPUP allows international shipping, we also streamed an Instagram live in English introducing the products so that people living outside Japan could enjoy the atmosphere and shop.
This time, Ai from WonderTeaParty helped with the live streaming♪
Coord Snap Photo Booth
Many people look forward to coordinating their outfits for the GLM coordinate snap photo booth here. Amazingly, 155 people participated over the two days!
↓ Please take a look at the wonderful outfits of everyone who participated in the GLM Coord Snap this time!
It's impressive to see so many coordinated outfits all at once!
皆様の個性輝くお写真は、XのGLMスナップアカウント(@GLMsnap01)にて毎日、2名ずつ紹介させていただいておりますのでぜひチェックしてみてください♪
Thank you to everyone who participated!
By the way... In the visitor survey this time, when asked about "favorite Lolita genre," the top votes resulted in the following!
1st place: Gothic (755 votes)
2nd place: Classical, Historical (720 votes)
3rd place: Nostalgic (Old school) (370 votes)
4th place: Sweet Lolita (390 votes)
This is a ranking among customers who came to GLM, but it is a very interesting result!
The Gothic and Lolita Market gathers all genres of Gothic and Lolita fashion, but it might be fun to have a "special edition event" focused on particularly popular genres...♡
That's what we think! Please look forward to it!!
We hope this report has conveyed at least a little of the atmosphere of the venue♪
That said... it's true that there is an excitement and encounters that you can only experience by actually visiting the venue...!
We have many more events planned, so please be sure to check them out so you don't miss anything!

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the brands that exhibited at GLM11, the customers who came to the venue, those who enjoyed shopping online, and everyone who supported us.
This time as well, with many customers coming from both Japan and abroad, we are more motivated than ever to help expand the circle of "Lolita fashion."
Also, your warm words of appreciation to the staff on the day are always a great encouragement. Once again, thank you very much.
We, the staff, sincerely look forward to welcoming you all again next time so that everyone can enjoy it!
