Roses are very popular as patterns, lace, and accessory motifs in Gothic and Lolita fashion.

The rose garden, renewed and reopened in 2008, is located in the far west of Shikishima Park, with about 600 varieties and 7,000 rose bushes planted. The rose arches and heart-shaped cute arches are popular. The green lawn plaza and surrounding pine forest also create an impressive and beautiful rose garden.





From May 3 (Sat) to May 25 (Sun), 2025, the "Spring Rose Garden Festival" will be held.
There will be special concerts, accordion performances, cut rose exhibitions and sales, and from sunset to 9 pm, a fantastic "Night Rose Light-up" to enjoy the rose garden.

From April 19 (Sat) to June 15 (Sun), 2025, the "Queen of Heart's Tree Castle" event is ongoing! Shinjuku Gyoen has a rose flowerbed with about 100 varieties and about 500 bushes blooming vibrantly.
The beautiful formal garden is designed with about 140 plane trees in four rows on both sides of the rose flowerbed, and the best viewing period is from early May to mid-June.

Many roses are already blooming, and many buds are about to bloom, so you can still enjoy the roses.

Within the vast grounds, you can also experience history through the Japanese garden, greenhouse, and the old Goryotei.
At the Japanese garden Rakuwa-tei, a 10-minute walk from Shinjuku Gate, kimono and yukata (summer) rentals are available.
Takeout sweets and bento are also available, and a picnic on the spacious lawn is recommended.

Yokohama English Garden (Kanagawa)

The English Garden carefully nurtures 2,200 varieties of roses and plants suited to Yokohama's climate and environment. The "Rose Tunnel," a large arch covered with climbing roses extending about 50 meters from the entrance, is best viewed around mid-May.


The natural scenery unique to the English Garden and beautiful displays focusing on seasonal flowers such as the "Rose Festival" and "Hydrangea Festival" are also must-sees!

The rose garden, affiliated with Bagatelle Park in Bois de Boulogne, Paris, France, is a French-style garden designed under the guidance of Parisian experts.
Early blooming old roses bloom in April, and from May to November, many varieties awarded at the Bagatelle International New Rose Competition are in full bloom.

On October 21, 2023, a "Rose Garden Party" was held with Lolita model Misako Aoki visiting the garden, and the tea party tickets sold out, making it a very successful event!
Enjoy the dreamlike moments of cute Lolitas with talk shows, fashion shows, walks, and commemorative photos in the rose garden.

Kawazu Bagatelle Park has a dog run, a shop "Kura-run-outdoors" where you can enjoy bouldering and canyoning, and a working space.
The rose-colored soft serve ice cream and cider made from edible roses grown in Kawazu are delicious and have many repeat customers♪

From April 28 (Mon) to June 30 (Mon), 2025, the "2025 Spring Rose Festival" will be held!
