8th Gothic and Lolita Market Event Report

On Saturday, April 9, 2023, the 8th Gothic and Lolita Market was held at WITH HARAJUKU HALL!
This event is an exhibition and direct sales event & coordinate snap event for Lolita brands of all genres. It is the largest event in Eastern Japan held twice a year in spring and autumn!

This time, all pre-sale tickets for both Part 1 and Part 2 sold out for the first time!
There were also a record number of customers hoping to enter with same-day tickets.
The total number of visitors was an incredible "1,129 people"!
With more than twice the number of visitors compared to last time, the waiting line in front of the venue was very long.
According to the pre-sale ticket survey results, visitors came from as far north as Hokkaido, as far south as Okinawa, and even from overseas for the Gothic Lolita Market...!
We are full of surprise and gratitude that many customers came from far away.
Also, despite the bad weather at times, we sincerely apologize for making you wait outside for a long time due to the number of visitors far exceeding our expectations. We will improve this in the future.
And this time, we introduced a cloakroom for the first time!
We hope you found it comfortable to enjoy the event by checking your coat at the entrance or leaving your belongings when you did a lot of shopping inside the venue.
・Sales booths
The main area of this event is the sales area!
The charm is being able to talk directly with the owners and creators of each brand.
Gothic, nostalgic, classical, sweet lolita… etc.
A variety of unique brands lined up.
This time, the direct sales booth featured many brands that had been unable to participate in events for a long time due to the impact of the novel coronavirus, as well as many brands for whom event participation is rare, making the venue’s energy MAX!!

In addition, since many brands were exhibiting at Gothic and Lolita Market for the first time, everyone probably had many new encounters, didn’t they?
Many customers and exhibitors dressed in their carefully coordinated outfits were happily chatting, creating a dreamlike atmosphere.

After closing, many brands reported "This was our best sales ever!" and it’s wonderful as the organizer to see everyone finding many favorite clothes, accessories, and other lovely items♪

Since last time, GLM has been operating the consignment booth, selling works on behalf of artists who live far away or are busy.

For the first time, we have launched a limited-time online shopping site featuring the products we handle!
Since you could check the products before the event started, many customers seemed to come with their sights set.

Customers rushing straight to the works they were aiming for, customers who usually only see the works online but were excited to actually hold them, customers carefully and seriously discussing with friends while taking their time, everyone seemed to enjoy shopping.
And after going around several times, both hands gradually became full!
The shopping bags prepared inside the consignment booth were also very popular this time.

And beyond the instant sale booth, if you go further, there is the "Coordination Snap Booth"!

We will hold the Autumn Gothic and Lolita Market at the same venue this time♪
This is the biggest event held twice a year, so everyone, don’t forget to register it in your schedule!
Once again, we were deeply moved to see so many customers far exceeding our expectations and to realize that there are still many friends who love the same fashion. Even now, about two weeks after the event, recalling that day warms my heart.
We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the brands that exhibited this time, the customers who came to the venue, those who enjoyed shopping online, and everyone who supported us.
