Episode 8 Gothic and Lolita Market Event Report

Saturday, April 9th, 2023 at WITH HARAJUKU HALL Gothic and Lolita We have held a market!

This event is an exhibition and outfit snap event for Lolita brands of all genres. This is one of the largest events in East Japan, held twice a year, in spring and autumn!

This time, advance tickets for all 1 and 2 parts sold out for the first time!

There were also a record number of customers who wanted to enter with same-day tickets.



The total number of visitors was 1,129!



More than twice as many customers as last time, the waiting line in front of the venue was a long line.

According to the survey results for advance tickets, customers have come from Hokkaido in the north, Okinawa in the south, and even from overseas for the Gothic Lolita Market!

We are filled with amazement and gratitude to many customers from far away.



Furthermore, despite the bad weather, we are very sorry that the number of visitors that had to wait outside for a long period of time, which was far greater than expected. We will continue to improve in the future.



And this time we've introduced our first cloakroom!

We would be happy if you could enjoy the event comfortably, such as leaving your jacket on entry, and leaving items for items you would have taken to do when you shop at the venue.

 

 

・Sales booth

 

The selling area is the main area for this event!

The appeal of this is that you can talk directly with the owners and artists of each brand.

Gothic, nostalgic, classical, sweet lolita...etc

A lineup of unique brands.



Many of the exhibitors at this sale booth were brands that were unable to participate in events for a long time due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and brands that are rarely participating in events in the first place, so the venue was at the peak! !

In addition, this timeGothic and Lolita There were many brands exhibiting at the market for the first time, so I'm sure everyone had many new encounters.





It was a dream-like space where many customers and exhibitors, dressed in carefully selected outfits, were seen having fun talking.

Many brands reported that after closing, "It was the highest sales ever!", and everyone seemed to have discovered many of their favorite clothes and accessories, which is a great place to be an organizer.♪

The commissioned booth operated by GLM since last time, GLM sells works on behalf of artists who live far away or are busy.

This is the first time we've released a limited-time online shopping site featuring products we carry!

Since you can check out the products you will be able to take before the event, I got the impression that many customers came here with a strong eye.

Customers heading to the lined up of their works they were looking for, customers who were actually picking up works that can only be seen online and customers who were shining their eyes while consulting with their friends, customers who were slowly and seriously worried about them, all looked happy shopping.



And as I continued to go around several times, my hands gradually began to fill up!

The shopping bags for the consignment booths we have prepared this time also seemed to be very useful.

Then, if you go beyond the sale booth and go further, you will see the "Coordination Snap Booth"!



At this booth, a professional photographer captures the outfits of visitors.

In addition to giving away photos, we will also be introducing the coordination two people each day on our Twitter Snap account (@GLMsnap01).



There were also advance tickets that allowed you to specify the start time of the filming, but they sold out immediately...!

Thanks to you, many people have requested to accept applications on the day, so we have ended early.

This is the biggest event twice a year, so don't forget to register your schedule!




Once again, we had many customers who were far more than we expected, and we were able to realize that there are still many friends who love common fashion. It's been about two weeks since the event was held, but it still makes my heart warm when I remember the day.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the brands who exhibited this time, customers who came to the venue, those who enjoyed shopping online, and those who supported us.
